Done!

I'm so happy I just finished Serenity by Erica Michaels. On my way to the retreat tomorrow morning I'm going to drop it off at the framers. It looks so good and the framer will have it done before Mother's Day. Off to work :(

Hot! Hot! Hot!

This weekend was so nice! It was ninety yesterday! Yesterday me and my mom went to Salty Yarns and stitched with Sally . We had a great time. Here is an update on my Serenity prayer.
Hopefully I will have it completed by the end of this week. This weekend is the May Retreat at Salty Yarns. I am so excited, it is my first retreat and I'm happy that I get a break from final exams. Good news is that two of my classes are completely done. Bad news is that I have a final to complete this week and two of my exams are two days after my retreat. :( Uhg... its almost over. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Forgetfull

I have neglected blogging lately. Im so upset about it,but it is the end of the semester and I have been working really hard on everything that is due for all of my classes. I still have a couple more projects that I have to complete but the biggest part is done. Thank goodness. But I have been stitching at night after I go cross eyed from studying and creating lesson plans. The only thing that I have been working on is Serenity by Erica Michaels and I have made great progress on it. I am dying to go back working on my other projects so this piece is going fast.
I also remembered that I haven't posted a picture of my saying in my craft room. Here it is...

I haven't put the heart ones on the wall yet because they are going to be beside my TV on the wall and I haven't got the wall hanger for the TV yet. I hope everyone is having a great week, unfortunately I have to go to work. :( Until next time..

Stitch and Bitch

Tuesday night was Stitch and Bitch. Usually at Stitch and Bitch I don't get much done because of socializing and stuffing my face but this time I got a lot done. I finished my Milady's Needle Acorn Box. Iam so proud of myself I made the cording and the tasels and managed to put it all together with the help of Sara. Thanks much! Anyway here is the pictures.

Sally also brought her newly framed pieces. One was a Shepherd's Bush piece, Emmanuel, one of the other ones was by Little Needlework house I think something about seashells. The last one was something about liberty. They were all beautiful, she had them all finished with museum glass. I have never seen it before and I didn't think they had any glass at all until I was at a certain angle.
So the other day I was at work and my boyfriends father said, "You think the Lord's Prayer will be done by Mother's Day?" Oh my I almost peed my pants laughing so hard. I said something around the lines of maybe it will be done around Christmas. I decided to buy a smaller piece that I can have done by mother's Day. I bought Serenity by Erica Micheals. This piece is supposed to be done on 40 count gauze but I decided to use linen to make it a faster project. I know I ruined my rule of having only three projects started at once but it was for a good cause. :)

Craft Room and More!

Hi everyone! I have a few announcements... First, my craft room is pretty much done except I have words to put on the wall and the stools have just been painted and are drying. I am going to find some cute stool covers for them as well. This picture is of my cutting table that I got from Micheal's, I love it!

Second, I have made a little progress on Snow Ho-Ho by Waxing moon. Slowly but surely... lol

And third, Here is what I bought last weekend while I was at Salty Yarns for my Jane Timmers class.
The first one is Shepherd's bush, O Beautiful. The second is The Cat's Whiskers, What a Hoot. I love these patterns so much that I NEED to start them now. But I can't I have a rule about only working on three patterns at a time and I'm at my limit. I better get stitching then.... Hope everyone had a great week!

Weekend Fun

This weekend was Jane Timmers finishing class, Part 1. It was in Ocean City Maryland at Salty Yarns ( www.saltyyarns.com ). I had an awesome time and learned a lot. Unfortunately Sally couldn't join the class because she had to run the shop but Sara, her daughter joined us. Here are some pictures...

Jane taught us how to make tassels, cording, and a flat padded finish.

I had such a great time. I feel so inspired, I can't wait until Part 2. I also bought all kinds of stitching stuff. Ill create another post with all that stuff in it, hopefully tomorrow.
Anyway... My craft room is almost complete!! The floors have their first coat of polyurethane and the walls and edging are painted. I also bought a book shelf, wall shelf, and a rolling craft storage. Here is Jon , working hard on my room!

Babysitter

I have decided that tonight would be the perfect time to tell everyone about my weekend experience of babysitting. Well first off, I went to Yorktown Virginia for a wedding, my boyfriend was a groomsman. Friday night we went to the rehearsal dinner, it was an open bar then we decided to go out. That wasn't a smart move because we had already had plenty to drink. Anyway I have been on a diet and hadn't drank in ten days not even a sip. So the next morning I had heart burn so bad, I never get heart burn! Anyway, that was Saturday, the wedding, so after the wedding we went to the reception which of course was an open bar. I got a glass of wine and I couldn't even drink it. Every time I would swallow a sip it would burn all the way down. So I tried a beer, that was even worse. So I decided it was telling me something, not to drink. In the meantime, my boyfriend and one of his friends was drinking ALOT. Go figure, just my luck to have to put up with drunkies. After it was over we took the shuttle back to the hotel where me and my boyfriend were staying. On the way back we looked at Friend and he was passed out. My boyfriend woke him up and he stumbled to our room. Me and Boyfriend got changed to go out. Friend was passed out sitting up in front of the TV. We tried to wake him up to ask if he wanted to stay in our room or go back to his hotel. He said he wanted to go out. WHAT! thats insane I told him he couldn't go out. Now I don't want you all to just think friend was drunk, boyfriend was to but he just likes to make jokes and talk a lot he didn't drink enough to get that silly. Then he wanted to go to his hotel. On our way to the hotel he sat in the front seat while boyfriend was in the back. It was like a two minute drive and I looked over and he was passed out again. Silly billy (friend). I tried to wake him and he finally woke up, boyfriend tried to walk him to his room but he refused and wanted to go by himself. I could have swore that he would make it no farther than the lobby but he made it to his room. To top it off he was staying with his parents LOL. Too funny. Me and boyfriend still went out and I was designated driver but we didn't stay long. It was a rodeo bar with a mechanical bull in the middle of it. The bride decided to ride it with her dress on. Overall, it was a fun and interesting weekend.
On a stitchy note I got a little more done on my Lizzie Kate Double Flips.

Anyway the Jane Timmers Finishing Class is this weekend and I can't wait! I Hope everyone is having a great week.
