Framed...And some awesome news!

I picked up my framed Shepherd's Bush, Yuletide Sampler today!!! Ta Da!!

The pictures aren't very good . The color of the top mat is a dark plum. The second one that is hard to see because of the picture is a light blueish gray. The frame is an antique silver. I absolutely love how it came out!
I have done some work on LK Halloween DF and the Lord's Prayer, I will post a picture later in the week.
This weekend I went to a wedding in Yorktown Virginia. It was a big wedding and was absolutely gorgeous. I ended up having to babysit one of my boyfriends friends. That is a long and funny story I will tell that another day for a great laugh.
I also have great news!!! My boyfriend has decided to let me have my very own Playroom! (Craftroom) And that is thanks to Cindy because I showed him the pictures of her room and he decided I could have mine too! We have removed everything from the room and have started to sand the floors, by the end of the week I will be able to paint (already have it). I will make sure to update with pictures on how that is going. If I were to take a picture right now you would only see a cloud of floor dust from the sander. I should have taken a before picture but my boyfriend decided to surprise me when I came home from shopping today by starting early and getting a lot done.
Until tomorrow...

News...pictures and more pictures

Around where I live there are people teaching that don't have a teaching degree and just have a provisional license. Well I am missing one class that I will have to take in the fall because it is not offered in the summer. BUMMER! So I thought that I wouldn't be able to teach in the fall so I went to the school board. I told them what I thought about teachers teaching that aren't even qualified and that I was more qualified then they were. Well it didn't get me anywhere. They told me that I would be able to long term sub until December when I get my degree and then I would be able to be an actual teacher after that. I guess that is better then nothing right?
Anyway... on a stitching note. I made some progress on the lord's prayer.
It looks like I'm stitching weird because I am working downward but the pattern is separated in pages. So I decided to complete one page at a time. I also forgot to show my progress from my Friday night SAT. I worked on LK Halloween Double flips.

I also lined the inside of Milady's Acorn box! I decided to use card stock to wrap the fabric around because it was a paper mache box. I liked the box it but it is lumpy on the inside and I thought it would make it look a little bit better. Just my opinion. The pictures don't do it justice but pictures never do.

Well tomorrow I am gone all day to class. Be back in a couple days :( Hope everyones week is going well.
Happy Stitching

Update

I started another project, I know I never start over three projects but I had to! I mean one of the projects isn't for me so it doesn't count, right? Anyway I started Lizzie Kate Halloween double flips on 32 count Dirty Belfast Linen. I love love love the color but the picture I have doesn't show it very well.
Woohoo Shepherd's Bush Yuletide Sampler is almost done. Well that is what Im going to go work on.
Happy Stitching!

Jane Timmers and New Project

The first weekend of April there is a Jane Timmers Notebook class called "The Finer Parts of Finishing, Part 1." This class is going to be held at Salty Yarns in Ocean City Maryland in case anyone wants to go, go to www.saltyyarns.com and call to sign up! I'm so excited I can't wait. I need all the finishing help I can get.
I also started a new project since I finished my Acorn Box; called the Lord's Prayer by My Big Toe. Here is what I have done so far. It is over one on 32 count and zoomed in ALOT!

I am specifically doing this piece for my boyfriends mom. His dad asked me to stitch it for her and it is going to be a surprise. I have never given my stitching to anyone and I think I'm going to have a very hard time parting with it because it is such a big project and so much work is going into it. UHG.. I need to get over it! Hmmm... maybe tomorrow lol (doubt it) :)

Spring Break

I have been a busy girl! Last week I had midterms for my classes that I am in. I studied and studied and studied some more. Well this week is Spring Break! WooHoo. Anyway I did get a little bit of stitching done. The first two pictures are Milady's Needle Acorn box. It is now completely stitched and just needs to be put together. The second picture is going to be a scissor fob. The last picture is an update of my Shepherd's Bush Yuletide Sampler. Tonight is Stitch and Bitch so I should be back tomorrow!

Yaaaahh!

I finally completed my three rows of cutting thread on my Yuletide Sampler!

I also finished the last row of my alphabet (for the second time). I think I'am cross eyed now. It was easy to cut the threads and pull then to the sides but re-weaving them was very time consuming and not very fun. But I finished and the rows look awesome. I wish you could see the detail. Even though I have a very nice camera it still won't capture the smaller details.

Now, snack time!

Weekend fun

Here is some progress on my Yuletide Sampler. There is a story behind how much I have done because I would be ALOT farther if I wasn't so pickie. OK the heart row is finished, finally, because I was one thread off and I had to re-do the whole row. Well, I almost left it the was it was but it kept staring at me telling me to fix it. Then there is a space below the hearts that is empty, that was done to which was the rest of the alphabet but when I got done with the row, it was one stitch off!!!! AH! So I asked my mom to take it out for me while I was at work last night. Tomorrow I plan to have that row re-done and a couple more done as well. I also went to Salty Yarns today and Sally taught me how to cut threads so hopefully I will get to that tomorrow to.

I worked on Snow-Ho-Ho for a little bit tonight, I really like this pattern its fun to stitch. But now I'm going to go work on my Acorn Box. :)

Hope everyone had a nice weekend!
