The turtle wins the race! :)

I have update pictures. Here is my Lauren Sauer class piece and By the Bay, Winter Cove.
I have made some progress. But I just wish my pictures would come out as beautiful as all these other blogs that I visit. Their pictures are just so clean, crisp, and seem to show colors the way they are supposed to be. Ahhh...maybe one day. Off to watch our DVR'd American Idol.

Beautiful stitching on Lauren Sauer's project. I can't wait until after your class and you can share how the completed project looks. It took me a while to figure out my camera and even still I have to take quiet a few pictures before I'm satisfied. Most of the time I get better pictures if I use natural light so I'll find the sunniest place in my house and take pictures there.

Hey Candi! On cameras, the natural light idea is great. Also, most cameras have a macro setting (looks like a little flower on mine). You can turn it on and off - just look in your manual. If you turn on macro you can take much clearer, up-close photos. It's the best way to shoot needlework. The take-tons-of-pictures idea is great too. I normally take about 20 or so and pick the best ones to post.

Keep up the great work!

You're making good progress on both of your pieces. My pictures are definitely not the best, but sometimes I put them under Ott Lights or near a sunny windy. Sunny doesn't work all the time because winters are always so gloomy around here, but sometimes just taking them in natural light will work wonders.
